As Isabelle gave her tour and explanations, Kat found herself more and more impressed. There could be no doubt about it, this was a top of the line library, and she already knew that she would be spending a lot of time here. She listened to everything that the other woman said, nodding occasionally, but mostly just busy looking. Part of her even knew she was gawking like an idiot, which wasn't at all like her, but this was impressive.
"Periodicals and reference books." She reached out, pulled an encyclopedia off a shelf, and flipped through it quickly before slipping it neatly back into place. "In the future, I think that most of these books will be replaed by computer files. It's more environmentally friendly and conserving of space, but it's almost a shame." She spoke the words, but it wasn't at all clear whether Isabelle were being addressed, or if Kat were simply speaking to herself out loud.
But she came back to herself soon enough, then turned to the other woman and nodded that she was ready to continue. She somehow doubted that such an impressive library only had one floor, and besides, there were many different types of books that they hadn't seen yet.
