Well, that was interesting. And now that she was closer to the woman, she smelled something... not quite right about her. It was just past the half moon, which meant that Kat's senses, while not as strong as they'd get closer to the full moon, were still much stronger than a normal human being's would be.
It was hard to unobtrusively sniff the woman, but Kat did her best as she moved past her to get her coffee and toss the barista the change to pay for it. With the coffee in hand, she moved out of the way of the register, and then turned back to look at the woman that she'd almost had a collision with earlier. Her face was incredibly thoughtful.
"Yes. I am Dr Kathryn Munroe. I am the new Physics teacher." She paused, then shrugged and went ahead. "Who are you? And... what are you?" Okay, so most people would have found a more tactful way to say that. Kat wasn't most people, and no one had ever accused her of being tactful.
