She had the sense that the woman was a little put off by Isabelle's manner, but it was how she was. She didn't make bones about anything and she wasn't careful about what she said because it might hurt someone's feelings. She was honest, perhaps to a fault, but it honestly didn't bother her much if someone didn't like her because she was honest with them. She felt a little different about Kat, for some reason. If Kat disliked her she felt that it might bother her. She wasn't sure what was different about Kat, but it was a refreshing change.
She watched the woman's reaction to the library and Isabelle was suitably impressed. People who disregarded a work of art like the Alden library deserved to be shunned and abandoned abruptly. Kat did not disappoint. Izzy had new respect in her eyes when she looked at Kat again. "It's impressive, isn't it?" She smiled and glanced around herself. She loved the library. Not only did it have an amazing selection of books, but there were walls lined with art, sculptures at the ends of bookshelves. It was a veritable museum. She loved it.
"I highly doubt you'll have trouble finding the books you want here." She stepped further inside, lowering her voice and walking down the steps to the main floor. "Want to tour first, or can I go see about my art texts?"
