Britta allowed herself to be admired. She jutted her chest out in a subconscious gesture. She smiled and looked out over the waterfall as it fell to the water below. The spray caused a rainbow to shimmer in the sunlight. She turned her hazel gaze on Alissa. "Hey, I'm just along for the ride. I'm following you, remember? This was your idea."
She grinned and bumped the other girl gently with a bare hip. "Besides, if we stay in one place too long I may very well decide there's another activity we could do. Together." She teased and gave Alissa another very obvious up and down look. "It's probably best to move on."
She smiled slyly and turned her gaze up stream, where the water spilling over the waterfall was coming from. The rush of water, the sound of it, always gave Britta a sense of peace. She loved the water as much as she loved the marshy lands it created in her hometown. She missed the Everglades a lot sometimes, but she went back to visit over breaks and once she was done with school she'd go back for good.
