"Then let's go up there. Just not far enough to run into the boats." She turned and began to pick her way along the bank of the fast moving water. It didn't seem to be moving fast enough that it would pull either of them over the falls, but they could probably have a good time and do some splashing around for a bit.
She went upstream about twenty yards and then moved toward a place where the shore moved at a slope into the water. There were lots of rocks in the streambed and Britta had to pick her way over the slippery things and still retain her balance. But there was enough mud and sand between them to keep her from falling. She waded in up to her hips and then to just below her breasts. The water was freezing, but she acclimated quickly.
"I hope you like cold water." She hissed softly with a grin.
