Tobias glanced at the machine, "I think it does more than computations. It seems a sort of information device. I am to get a thing called a 'wireless connection,' so that I can access 'the internet.' There is a help center apparently that can give all of us directions," and he turned his attention to the man, "All of us that are not from this realm or new to this place. I would be happy to led you some assistance, when I determine my own expertise at it," he added, now leaning back and smiling slightly.
His speech was more formal; in high Dijinn court, it was critical to be formal to convey the utmost of respect. One did not have to act so restricted with friends and family, but Tobias did not quite feel at home to relax to that degree. He brightened at Desmond's answer of his species, and looked very interested.
"A Dhampir? And by half-breed I take it you are half human?" and he pursed his lips and nodded, "Intriguing," he added as he kept his eyes on the man, "Perhaps life will be easier to get used to here than I thought. Most seem human in appearance, and this world is not so very different from my own."
Tobias let himself smile slightly, "You have been so forthcoming, allow me to introduce myself. I am Prince Tobias Cohen, of the relm of the Dijinn. I am a genie," he said, giving a slight nod of his head to the other man, "This is my first time in the human world, and I am finding it all very, very interesting."
Tobias paused, and let his eyes wander to the room's interior, "Strange but not so very foreign, and the newness has its fascinations," and he found himself sitting up to lean towards the other man, "But may I ask? You are part human, so this world is yours, is it not? Is it rude of me to ask how one becomes part vampire?"
Tobias was curious about that. Did one get bit? Was one birthed? In his world, there were half genies; they were not considered the highest of society, but when he had managed to escape into the village, he met many, playing there with other children. Their solidity gave them a disadvantage in the traditional games but they seemed to have a positive spirit about things that made them good companions and friends.
