When he paused in front of her, she leaned forward and took another long breath in. She was mesmerized by his eyes. He watched her with an intensity she'd never known before. Dannika had grown up in a grossly conservative home where her parents thought of the supernatural as abominations that were not God's creatures. They were demons and freaks. There had been very rare times that Danni had spoken to one or two, but it hadn't been for long. She'd gone to human schools and this was her first real foray into the Supernatural realm. It was for this reason, and because she'd thought she was alone in the dorm, that she didn't have her talisman on her.
She didn't return herself to an upright position and she had the strangest urge to reach up and caress his face. She closed the distance between them, though she didn't exactly press herself against him. She was definitely invading his space, though. She kept his gaze, a fair sight bolder now than she'd been before their proximity to one another had changed. She spoke in a hushed tone when he asked his question and her lips were only a few inches from his chin, tilting her head up to look at him because he was taller than she.
"I don't know. I've never had a roommate, much less one of the male variety." She watched his lips while he spoke and then glanced back up to be locked into his gaze once more. She had brothers, but she'd only ever shared a room with a sister. She had no idea what to do with a hunky taller man. She sighed again and put her hands up, touching his arms and shoulders, then dragging her fingers through his hair. She was going to be very embarrassed when she came back to herself. But at the moment, she was quite happy to be standing there staring at him.
