"You learn. As I learned." Desmond growled out in answer to her comment about him being gone for weeks, and asking him how exactly she was supposed to learn. "Or were you instead expecting me to hold your hand through the intricacies of vampire blood addiction after you had used it to violate me the previous night?" There was an edge to his voice that he didn't mean to be there, but really the nerve of her was somewhat amazing. She had experienced his own horrific needs and yet she didn't seem to have a single clue as to how it was that he could have been manipulated using the same thing? That her body near him would actually cause a myriad array of emotions that he couldn't actually seem to control?
No, it was the beast inside of her talking, he realized as she calmed down, and started to apologize for the way that she had behaved. Desmond frowned as he watched her, watching the way that her arm was held at an odd angle. It was odd that it had healed the way that it had, but again, he did not know the effects that vampire blood might have upon a mermaid. There were just too many variables that he couldn't put into the equation. Still, it saddened him to see her like this, saddened him to know that she was hurting and there was not a lot he could do about it. He just didn't know why it was that she was still being effected by the blood, why it hadn't burned it's way out of her system the way that it had Beth.
...unless...
It made sense logically, in any case. The question was whether or not it would actually work. Desmond supposed that the cure would be no worse than the disease. Normally he would have told her that they could simply sweat it out... now he was not that sure. She offered to let him leave, and he paused, and instead slowly reached down to peel off his shirt to reveal those pale abdominal muscles that she had seen the night before, knowing there would be hunger in her eyes when she looked at him again, and the willingness to cede to what it was that he wanted. He would be counting on that because like it or not... things were about to get very... bloody.
"I want to give you what it is you want..." he said, smiling a little at her as he started to undo his pants, looking at her with heated blue eyes. "My blood... and more..." he said, slowly starting to undo the front of his jeans, raising an eyebrow at her. "But on my terms. Take off all of your clothes raina... go step in the shower and turn it on, and wait for me..." He said, offering her a little smile, knowing that her want for him would make her obey, even if she thought it might be a bad idea. The lure of blood would be too much for her. In a twisted way he felt some satisfaction in knowing that she would know exactly how easily the lure of blood could influence her.... in another way he felt bad putting anyone through that.
He waited until she was out of the room before leaning down to pick up a shard of glass... this next part would be... messy.
