It was a dream that had Raina wanting to leave campus for the night.

Lately, most of her dreams had been dark and she woke aching, both physically and emotionally. Her mind was tired from screaming and she felt like she was spinning out of control. Last night she'd found herself in the middle of the woods. Her heart had been racing as her eyes dated around through the mass of trees that surrounded her. She could hear leaves cracking underfoot as something took a spin around the shadows. She turned to try and catch a glimpse but she just barely saw the back end of whatever it was as it disappeared once more. "Who's there?" She called out, though she didn't expect an answer.

Turning, her feet kicked up dirt as she started to run through the woods. Her body bumped into the thick tree trunks and she could feel the bruises appearing on her body. But she couldn't stop. Heart thumping, she continued to run as the creature, or whatever it was, got closer and closer to her. She head towards a clearing when the creature on her tail snagged her foot. Raina fell to the ground, feeling the dirt staining her face. Flipping herself on her back, she prepared for an attack but nothing was there. Out of breath, her eyes darted around the circle of the clearing. As she did, the trees around her started to grow crookedly, wickedly. The branches bent like fingers reaching for her menacingly.

She screamed and backed up until she could get to her feet. No sooner had she taken a step away from the reaching fingers then they had gripped her. They wrapped around her, pinning her arms at her sides as they roped around her waist. The other ones started to claw at her violently, like an animal tearing her flesh into ribbons. Blood dripped from her body until she woke up violently. Drenched in sweat, sheets tangled around her body, it took almost fifteen minutes to pull herself together and realize she'd been only dreaming. And they had been getting worse every night.

This last one had felt so real that when her eyes laid on the clock and she'd realized that she had slept all day, she decided there was really only one thing that she could do to calm the thoughts of blood and destruction.

And that was alcohol.

With a bottle of jack daniels shoved in her bag, she threw on a skirt (in the chance that she wanted to get in the water) and a tank top, followed by a pair of slip on flats. Then Raina was out the door. She didn't want to be there right now. All she wanted to feel was numb. She had been hoping that, much like what most people told her, the ache would lessen with time. She had been all but hoping that one day she would wake up and it would hurt less, even just a tiny bit, but she'd had no luck with that. Every morning hurt just as badly. What if she never recovered? She didn't want to be reckless, but she didn't want to be in pain. So she didn't waste any time getting down to the pond. Stopping beside the water, Raina sat down and pulled out the bottle of whiskey. It started with a few shots. The burning in her throat as she swallowed each shot helped, but she wanted more, needed more.

She wasn't sure how much time passed by a quarter of the bottle down, Raina was laying back on the ground, staring at the sky. She hummed to herself as she twisted the bottle open again and held it against her lips to take another sip. Her cheeks were flushed with the taste, eyes watery from the buzz.

This was definitely helping.

You don't understand was the last thing in the world that Raina wanted to hear, and that's exactly why she paid it absolutely no attention. She knew what he had told her. She knew that to an extent she could not understand what it was that he suffered through. She wasn't blind enough to think that just knowing about it would explain it entirely. But her desire to know was more a request to be with him through it, to experience every part of who he was. You couldn't truly want someone the way that Raina wanted Desmond if you didn't acknowledge and accept every side, to good and the bad, the gentleman and the sexual deviant, and everything in between.

She was sure that he would find away to break the kiss and step away when he seemed to attempt turning away. Not sure exactly what she would do in that case, her mind ran freely with ideas. Would she let him leave? Would she throw herself at him again? Just when she was sure that he was going to pull away, something changed. It was like his entire body loosened and the way that he grabbed her body, kissed her so possessively, she knew she was his. There was no denying that.

Lowering her hands against his shirt, Raina rolled her chest forward, soft sounds of desire echoing up her throat. One moment she was standing before him and the next he literally swept her off her feet. She was lowered onto the patch of cool grass and it could have been anywhere in the world. They could have been in a large bed adorned with hundreds of pillows and silk sheets. The blade of grass and fallen leaves that now became her bed were just as fitting. Arching her back, Raina let her head roll to the side with the kisses he trailed along her heated skin. It was making it so hard to breathe steadily, so with every brush of his mouth, she gripped her fingers a little harder into his shirt. Her lips parted and she gasped lightly with that sting. Her eyes widened a little but the feeling didn't send anything but pulsing hot desire into her belly. The moan that escaped her lips had her raising her legs at his waist. The sound curled around her, sliding along her quickly becoming bare body like a snake that wound around her flesh. Her body jerked with the sudden tug that freed her breasts from the fabric. The way he touched her, possessed her, sent a slight vibration through her. The pit of her stomach tightened in a knot that made her head spin, and she could feel that original heat circling around her hips.

Her body responded to the feeling of his slick tongue and soft lips around her nipple by moistening the warmth between her legs. She cried his name as his hand tugged the now bothersome panties off of her. "Yes," she gasped, everything as though they were completely alone in the world. No one to bother them, nothing to take away from this. "..yes, touch me.." Long fingertips slid underneath his duster and pushed it aggressively off his shoulders. She made a small mewly noise when they had to part for just a moment. Now that the jacket was gone, she aggressively tugged his shirt up, not giving it a second thought once she dropped it behind her.

Rising up a little, Raina kissed his ear, neck, then moved to his shoulder. Once there, she gave it a nip and let her free hand teasingly trail down her chest, then stomach, stopping once her palm was pressed against his, holding his touch between her legs. Her eyes rolled shut and she let her head hang back as she felt the heat filling her up from that sensitive place that no one had ever touched before. "Oh my God, Desmond," she cried, voice shaking and fingertips not only lightly trembling but urging his own hand on. "I need you." In every way. She felt feral and it was wild.
