It was then that the tiny sliver left of her logical brain woke up and told her she was, indeed, still awake, and that wasn't a tree speaking to her. She thought of the things she'd heard and looked around curiously. "What the hell is a Justin Bieber?" She asked as she put her hands on the ground to steady herself as she attempted to stand up. Because she hadn't moved much since she got there (and had a good amount of alcohol in Raina standards--considering she didn't drink), she lost her balance slightly and stumbled a few steps forward. Putting her hands out to catch herself on the rock a foot away, Raina dropped the bottle and it shattered at her feet. "Shit," she hissed, looking down at the spilled whiskey. "Party fo--" A hiccup. "--oul." Then as she giggled, she went to step around the mess but stepped on a piece of glass.
There was a squeal before she turned and fell back on her ass. It was apparently a bad idea to have taken her shoes off. But instead of being upset, she just laughed at herself. Even if it wasn't genuine, it was good to hear that musical sound again. And the smile may not have reached her eyes but at least it was there. That had to be something, right? She didn't even feel the small piece of glass that she plucked out of her skin. Maybe it was the booze--or maybe she just stopped feeling things altogether? She could only hope.
Turning her head to the side though, in the new position, she finally laid eyes on the person who had spoken to her just moments ago. Raina actually noticed him around campus before. Since she wasn't the outgoing person she used to be, she spent a lot of time noticing people. "I know you." She said in an almost sing-song tone. Booze was so good. Pointing in his direction, she didn't bother getting back up. There was a broken bottle and she was swimming in alcohol right now. No need to move. "You're Jack Daniels, like the booze." She was only slightly slurring her words. "I was just drinking you."
