"You may as well have been!" Jack muttered angrily, noting her anger and keying off of it. Yeah, okay, she had something of a point, but he was't Gabriel anymore, reminding him of his past wasn't exactly the sort of thing that he took kindly to, but he couldn't exactly get that out without telling her all of it, and that was just... well, it wasn't the sort of thing he ever planned on going into with her, as it would involve a lot of gasping and touching of hands to her mouth and then who the fuck knew what. Really, whatever would come after that he didn't want to think about, even if it was some sort of after school special of hugging and crying with some heavy petting thrown in for good measure. He just didn't want to even think about it.
She had no idea of course what he meant by that, or the fact that it wasn't his words that he was actually saying, but rather a quote that was given to him, the last words that his mother ever said alive. At least Jenny's had been something about her being excited, for all Jack knew, anyway. Sometimes he tried to lay in bed thinking about what her last thoughts might have been, and it drove him crazy to think of them. But that's what copious amounts of alcohol was really for, after all, making the pain go away. What wouldn't make the pain go away, was getting psychoanalyzed by squirrel girl, however, and that was exactly what she was trying to do at the moment, he could see her mind working, the little hamster heaving away as he frantically ran around in his wheel.
"Wait, how am I a bully? Do you see me giving kids wedgies or whatnot? Jesus, Suze, you need to get with more of the party crowd. I'm like a practical legend. I'm pratically everyone's best friend..." he said. This of course was not true, but still, he had a good general standing with people. He was known as 'alright'. "Or are you trying to say that you're the poor little nerd I'm giving wedgies to? Because I gotta say, if you're going for bookworm, you have seriously failed with that outfit..." Ah Jack, master of the quasi compliment.
"God damn it." Jack muttered as she managed to out logic him on something. It was a rare occurrence, and somehow it seemed to sting all that much more because of that fact. He growled a little as he tried to think of exactly how he could weasle his way out of it, and he realized that he couldn't actually. Instead it was time to move on to her little statement about the fact that she actually wouldn't have done anything with him in the first place. He knew that much was a lie, he could feel the fact that she wanted him when he kissed her, so he set out to prove it to her, to make her see that in fact she found him fucking hawt as hell and make her admit it.
But then they were kissing, and he could feel her thighs starting to squeeze his a little as she seemed to sink into him, her body melting into his. He waited for that moment when she would push him away, really, he knew that it was going to come sooner or later. He broke from the kiss and looked into her eyes as his body pressed tighter to hers, practically grinding against her as he looked into her dark eyes and closed his own for a minute, feeling a shudder coming over his own body. Jack was a good actor, but he wasn't that good. It just so happened that her lithe body against his own was starting to drive him just a little crazy... and he knew if he didn't stop soon he was going to get slapped.
"We... we should stop before someone catches us..." Jack breathed out a little headily. "Want to go back to my place?" he said, blinking as his own inner mind just paused and dropped it's jaw at what he'd just said. What... the... Jack paused and then shook his head lightly, laughing a little. "That was seriously lame of me... on so many levels... I already know what your answer is going to be Suzy... uhm... we'll just chalk this one up as your win..." he said, feeling his cheeks start to heat a little. Was he blushing? What the fuck... lack of booze was making him stupid!
