"Yeah... I'm guessing if I had moaned 'oh kayyyyy' in your ear I'd probably still be hearing about it to this day. So I'm thinking I'll stay nice and un-chilled to perfection, thanks." Jack growled a little. All in all though, he was a bit happy. Jia was swearing, and she was trying to insult him, which meant after some fashion that she was annoyed and trying to get under his skin. That of course meant that she was at least biting somewhat when it came to the fun little insults that he was throwing at her. If she would actually start getting pissed, and storm off, that would be something to behold altogether, though for some reason he didn't particularly feel driven to cause her to run away screaming anymore, that was sort of an old game and one that just fucking didn't work, really.
Jia seemed to come back over and over again. He really hadn't figured out the best way to make her go away for good, without seriously violating his own personal standards. He supposed that he could go into great lengths about exactly how he'd seduced Kay, but somehow that didn't really seem like it'd be something that would really impress Kay. And he didn't really want to get into shit with every girl that he knew at this school. Jia and Maya were more than enough to fill his plate at the moment. Not that he couldn't weather through it, he supposed, but that wasn't the point. She had said something about her not really wanting to sleep with him, and he opened his mouth to call horse shit on that one but she had already gone on.
"Who am I? I'm a monster." Jack said simply. "Gabriel wasn't anyone... he was just a stupid kid who didn't realize that he would eventually turn to Jack Daniels, in all of his glory. Just your average boring little wuss that got beat up in school and had no friends. You can see, of course, why I might not actually want to be associated with him, as I'm none of those things..." Jack said with a smirk. Of course, all of this happened to be one big fat lie, but if he really presented it as standoffish Jia would play nancy drew again and try to hunt down exactly what it was that she thought was the crux of his little issues, something that would assuredly change any particular friendship or whatevr it was that the two of them had at the moment.
"See, now you're getting somewhere..." Jack said as she started to admit that he was about as far from a good person as one could be without being actually bad. Jack shook his head lightly as she started to get back towards the touchy feely bullshit. "Please. If you saw someone getting mugged in the street, you'd probably shout or do something, and you wouldn't even know what sort of a person they are. There are just things that people do, regardless of the situation." Jack said with a shake of his head. "Doesn't make me any better or worse than some schmuck out there on the street. And you don't realize it, but I doubt too many fuckers out there would really care if you showed your scar more... only the total assholes might."
