“I don’t concur even a little. In fact, the very idea that you of all of the supposedly special people on campus managed to catch my eyes while sleeping should say something, right? We can’t all be computer programmers. I barely even know how to use code, so you shouldn’t feel bad about not knowing more about computers.” Maya had clearly misunderstood him. She couldn’t, as of yet, fathom that anyone would literally not know anything about computers. She simply thought he meant he was like a lot of the population who could only browse the internet and update their social networking sites. “That doesn’t mean you’re not special in your own way. There’s a sort of feeling about you.” She lied, for she really couldn’t detect auras or any other psychic vibes. “We all have our strengths and weaknesses. What are your strengths?”
Maya caused her breath to catch in her throat when he touched her knee and gazed so deeply into her eyes. Normally, there wouldn’t have been much of an internal reaction other than that, but those eyes were such a pure, crystalline blue, and the hunger in his gazed caused her stomach to clench lightly. This was a look she understood, and she really had been sexually starved for almost an entire day. If he broke her fast, well, that would be splendid.
Of course, she couldn’t just break character or all could be lost. Maya summoned a deeper blush and broke eye contact with him. “I wouldn’t say you’re boring.” She said softly before returning her dark eyes to his blue ones. “No. This is actually my third year. I’m majoring in theatre, but I’m really more of a back stage kind of person.” In all reality, she was just as comfortable on stage as back stage, and her sewing capabilities, her mind for aesthetics, and her talent for acting made her valuable in both areas.
“How can you wear gloves? It’s so warm.” Her words had a subtle double meaning, one which suggested it may not just be the weather that had her hot.
