As her eyes glanced to his coffee cup, he smiled and took it from her, letting his leather gloved hand brush the side of her thigh lightly as he did it, moving and pulling it up to his lips where he took a sip of it, feeling the warmth roll over his tongue. "You must have caught me just as I was falling asleep. It's still warm." he said with a smile as he gestured to it. "You can have some of it if you like... it would have been all lost if it were not for you anyway." He gave her another soft smile as he looked into her eyes, trying to ignore the nagging sensation of desire that was natural for him around someone who was as beautiful as she.
His crystal eyes noted the twirling of her hair and reflected upon what it meant. Everything outwardly said that she was interested in him, but inwardly... he was still skeptical. "I would not refer to myself as extraordinary..." Desmond lied sweetly, "especially in a place like this surrounded by so many special creatures..." he said. "In fact, I would say the fact that I struggle so much to understand computers supports such a point, and is why I spend so very many sleepless nights awake..."
Desmond's gloved hand touched her knee lightly, looking into her eyes as he did it with a look she would probably be used to recieving, a questioning, but hungry look. "But enough about me, I am a terribly boring creature that has not yet even decided on a major. Tell me more about yourself, Maya... is this your first year here as well? You seem so very.... confident. What are you majoring in?" Desmond's questions were polite, but the way that his eyes stared deeply into her own hinted at perhaps those not being the questions he wanted to ask her. Then again, Desmond was a good actor as well, and he'd had far far more experience at it.
