The ache was more intense than anything she could have imagined. Her chest was tight, her stomach dropping and all she could do was stare at him as she felt like he was being ripped away from her. Like she was standing in the middle of a crowd, arms holding her back as they tore him away. Every second furthered the distance until it felt like she couldn't breathe. She shook her head slowly as he spoke, looked down at the ground then immediately looked up again. She didn't want to look away too long, the fear a live thing in her stomach that made her worry if she looked away for too long, he could disappear. "You saved her. It may not be an ideal situation but she's alive. You can not honestly blame yourself for not staring at her every moment of ever day!" She knew what guilt felt like, and how easily it could consume you alive.
"No.." She said in a small voice. "I could not explain to you exactly what it is like to be a woman, but I could try." He felt so far away, and here it felt so cold. Looking up at him, she wanted to go to him but couldn't find the strength to move as he spoke of what she could not know and could not understand. Her arms dropped at her side, "Then we make sure you're never away from blood, and you'll never have to worry about that. We make sure that there is never an instance for you to be so starved that he would surface and take what he needs." The feeling built up inside of her until she finally found that strength to go to him. She crawled onto the bed so she was sitting by his legs and put her hands on his knee. "If you let me in.. if you had called me to be there.. I could have helped. You could have drank when you needed to or--or whatever you needed."
The thought that she was losing him was more painful then she could imagine. Maybe it didn't make sense to the rest of the world but she had to trust in what she felt. It was the only thing that was real.
"You can have me." Her voice was soft, gentle, and the truth in her words hung to every syllable. She wasn't making this offer because of the events of the previous night. This had been something that had been building inside of her for so long now. "I want you to." Her teeth softly pressed against her lower lip as her eyes caught his. He could have every part of her, both body and heart. "Don't do this. Please. I don't want to lose you." The tears had dried on her face and she reached in to touch his palm against his chest. She couldn't imagine this being a last--it couldn't be the last time that she felt him. She couldn't just walk away from that. "I'm meant to be with you."
