"Desmond..." Came a voice whispering at him. It was soft, questioning... Beth's voice. And it was where Beth was supposed to be. This time was where she belonged, he was... not. But that did not matter, it was where he normally would be, even if he was a stranger in this time, even if he did not really belong to this place, not in the way that he belonged to other times. Life was something disjointed here, half lived, half reminisced. He could feel it though flowing as it always did, ever onward, even without his acceptance. It would continue on and on and on like some relentless play that had no intermission. As he heard Beth's voice awake he started to try to stand up so that he could leave, but he felt weak.
"Mmn... I feel... soooo much better now." Beth whispered a little, and Desmond froze in place. Slowly as she walked towards him, she tugged off her dress effortlessly, letting it drop to the ground at her ankles and stepped out of it, reaching down to peel up her bra over her breasts, then slide her panties down her hips, swaying them this way and that before those too fell to the ground and were forgotten, leaving her bare in front of him. Desmond had known that the blood of vampires could change a normal person radically, but he had hoped his own blood, tempered by mortal makings, would not have effected her so drastically. He felt sudden panick at what he had done. Had he killed her as certainly as the mugger had tried to?
Before he could move she was slipping down to her knees in front of him, freeing him from the confines of his jeans. He gasped as he felt her fingertips wrapping around him, tugging at him towards her with a slow steady motion as she leand in and whispered softly in his ear, each word like pure sex falling from her lips as she groaned in the way that he wanted to groan right now, as if he were touching her and not the other way around. "Oh... Desmond... I know what you did for me... and I wanted to thank you in.... every.... way that I can. You don't know how long I have wanted this Desmond... you don't know how hard it was for me not to just want to touch.... you.... all....ooooover."
Slowly she tilted her neck towards him. "I know you're hungry Desmond... just take a bite... one bite and take what you need... once you have your strength back... we can..."
Desmond's eyes shot open again as he heard the bed sheets start to shuffle the way that they had a moment ago in his dream. He was trapped in it in a dream that he could not awake from. In this one though he could feel the ache of the bite marks that he had made along his arms, the only way he had managed to keep himself from crossing the room, tearing off Beth's clothes and taking what it was that he wanted from her. Oh, how he tried to tell himself that he did not want it... that he did not ache for it and yet he did. He couldn't deny it here, alone with himself that he did... It made him feel awful, thinking about Raina trying to picture her in his mind as he shuddered a little and realized that he was hungry for Beth like an animal now...
"Desmond?" She would see him flinch as she said his name, pushing back a little harder into the corner. He was like a scared animal now, wild and untamed, looking at her with eyes that almost seemed to glow in the dim light coming from the outside. He stared at her through black strands of hair, waiting for the twist, waiting for her to do something, to tempt him, to press herself up against him so that he would want her... be unable to stop himself around her. He very much felt even now the desire to cross the room and claim her, even though he knew that if he did that... if he gave into this dream then he would wake up and give into his own desire... he had to remain diligent in all realities...
"I'm going to just...take a shower...please...please don't go, I'll be right back."
