The only thing Raina had been able to do lately was talk about her sister. Desmond had stayed with her when she had asked and thank God, he had helped her pull herself together. She spent a few days talking to him and sharing memories of the two. It still ached to think that her child would never get to experience life. Raina had been excited to be an aunt, and to watch her sister grow into the mother that she was meant to be. She had to thank the dhampir for being so kind to her. He'd held her when she needed to be held, and he assured her of her innocence in the events of that night.
But for how incredible Desmond had been, Raina knew she needed to find a way to make herself smile again too. She couldn't rely on him to do it for her. And she wanted to feel like she was alive again, so when she heard about the party, it was an easy play to call. She dressed herself in a comfortable outfit, just a pair of jeans and a V neck gray shirt. Her hair fell around her shoulders as she walked to this party and started to wander through. She recognized some of the people, but didn't entirely have the urge to drink and go all out like she would have just months ago.
She did however, pick up a drink and sip it. The alcohol was strong in it, and as she turned, she found herself practically nose to nose with someone. "Oh! Wow, I'm sorry." She took a step back and smiled. "You okay? Did I spill anything on you?"
