A distant part of his mind registered that the two...knew each other. From the familiar way they were speaking, clearly they were friends. Or possibly more, his mind supplied, taking in their positions. Which made Xan wonder if the Asian girl was as whacked as Carly. Probably. But that didn't mean she wasn't hurt.
He ignored the vampire's threats, snapping his cellphone shut. Apparently, Carly was back to being twelve years old, threats, yelling and all.
It was a little hard to understand what either of them were saying really. But it sounded like Yanagi, if that was her name, was fairly all right. Except for her...toes? Xan wondered how he had only managed to get her toes. That was kind of a feat, all in itself.
Xan carefully took Yanagi's foot in his hands, hoping she didn't kick him. He had never healed another person before, nor had he ever had clothing or shoes in the way, but he knew from some of his research, it was possible. He just usually avoided it because most humans wouldn't be able to accept being healed. Seeing the giant pair of fluffy wings protruding from Yanagi's back, however, made him think she wasn't quite human.
He ignored both of their gazes, instead concentrating on her foot. A soft yellow glow enveloped her foot, shoe and all. It took half a minute, maybe less. He turned his attention to her other foot, healing that as well. Releasing her foot, he fought back a shiver. He had never healed anyone or anything besides an animal. This...this was something else entirely. It had felt the same, and yet different. It was hard to explain but Xan felt a little warmer.
He stood up and collected the books scattered around them. Most of them were alright. A little dirty but nothing damaged too badly. "I'm afraid I can't do much for your books," Xan stared down at the pile in his arms, unable to quite meet either of the girls' gazes. "Are you alright now though?"
