She laughed, giggling at the way he took what she said. She hadn't meant her words as an insult, not by a long shot. It was funny, and he made her smile. There weren't many that she felt comfortable with, but Whip was rapidly winning her affections.
"Yes, Whip, it is. The sun is shining and the colors are vivid." She glanced around, only to find when she looked back that Whip was no longer there. She frowned slightly, glancing around for him. Where had he gone? But only a short time later he returned with a circle of flowers. Her blue eyes widened and as he set it on her head she reached up to touch it. Her fingers slid over the silken petals of the flowers and she turned to him.
She reached out and touched his face. "Thank you, Whip. I love it." He was being so kind to her and even though a small part of her wondered what he wanted in exchange, she made herself appreciate the gesture as a kindness and nothing more. She placed a gentle kiss to his forehead before releasing him and giving him a smile.
"I am very pleased to hear that you enjoy Swing dancing. I'm afraid it's all I know how to do." She lifted her eyebrows when he mentioned flying and stuck her tongue in one side of her cheek. "Fly? I am a swimmer, dear boy, not a flyer."
