Jack smirked a little as he tossed the plastic bag in his hands up and down. Fuck that Maya chick, no one knew how to score the best hits on campus except him. That wasn't the sort of thing that you just stumbled onto. The people who were the best dealers didn't exactly advertise, in fact they swore you to secrecy. Still, if you approached them and had enough bank and no legal credentials and were smart enough not to ask any fucking questions, you could get your score pretty easy. If that didn't work, a little blackmail tended to do the trick, but that usually caused things to go south pretty quickly, even if you fucking paid them for it. Better to keep up a good reputation amongst the dealers as a regular buyer of product who knew how to keep their shit straight and keep their nose out of your fucking business.
As he started walk along, he started to pull his hip flask and take a mouthful when he saw a squirrel race past him at a somewhat breakneck speed, close enough that he could have caught it if he wanted to. "You can't run from your destiny, Luke!" Jack called out after it as he shook his head slowly and started to keep walking in the opposite direction the squirrel was running. "Jesus fucking Christ, I wonder what the fuck scared the goddamned shit out of..." Jack trailed off as he saw the lynch mob surrounding someone and the smile feel from his face. "Oh." he said as he put the hip flask away, stopping dead in his tracks. Jack shook his head at the scene, and then turned around. This wasn't his goddamned problem, he didn't have any fucking obligation to step in and save people. Fuck, depending on your belief system it was his fucking relatives which were responsible for this shit anyway.
“Please, you don’t have to do this. I haven’t done anything wrong.” a voice came across the grass that caused him to freeze in his tracks.
"... Fuck you too." Jack said as he looked up at the sky and gave it the middler finger. Turning around slowly he looked at the mob surrounding Jia. Some of them had baseball bats, obviously expecting a bigger catch that night than some little dryad that a single one of them could have kicked the ass of. Jesus Christ, they were a big enough mob that it probably would have taken someone like a fucking uber vampire or something to get through them all. Jack knew well enough that going into this situation without a plan was a fucking terrible idea... but then, he didn't really have the time to actually make a plan either.
"Wait, guys, hold up..." One of the guys said with a smirk as he slowly started to undo his zipper. "I think maybe we're missing out on a golden opportunity to have a little fun with this piece of trash..."
Jack's stomach turned a little. Leave it to a lynch mob to decide that it was fine to sleep with someone that you thought was less than human, but they couldn't actually be a meaningful part of your society. But it did give him an idea, and that right now was gold. Reaching into his pocket, he slipped on the glove that he'd worn the first day that he met Jia, striding across slowly towards them. He sure as fuck hoped that she could vanish into a tree if he threw her into one, because otherwise he was probably going to kill her, and get the shit beaten out of himself in the process.
"Fuck, is that some piece of trash superfreak?" Jack said as he strode up angrily, the crowd parting slightly as a newcomer was eyed suspiciously. "We should fucking beat this piece of devil trash into... what the fuck, I know this bitch." Jack growled, coming up to Jia as he shoved a couple of people back. She would feel as hands roughly gripped her by her collar and tugged her up to look him in the eye. "You're fucked my brother, you fucking slut! You turned him into a piece of shit freak sympathizer" Jack snarled, hearing some people starting to laugh a little. "You superfreaks think that you can fucking just come here and spread your legs like fucking animals in heat so that we'll like you, is that it?"
