Jack's eyes narrowed slightly at what Jia Li said about his grandfather, the only indication she would ever have that she had gotten beneath what seemed like an impenetrable wall of asshollery that kept him from feeling anything redeeming. It was just that moment, that flicker of pain before it was gone, turned into that mask of douchebaggery that stared at her as if she were stupid, crossing his arms over his chest as he waited for her to finish, rolling his eyes as if she couldn't possible be more goddamned boring. He pondered just walking away halfway through but decided against it, instead giving her a chance to fucking get it all out so she'd stop goddamned harassing him every few days about the first fucking time that they met.
"Go ahead." He said as she reared up to hit him. "Do it. leaving behind all of that pacificism shit will feel great, I promise." he said, groaning as she backed down from it. "Jesus fucking christ.... could you be any more pathetic?" he said narrowing his eyes at her as she managed to hold to her convictions, letting her have out the last of her little schpiel.
Of course, things started to get funny about halfway through her little argument, and he couldn't help but start laughing as she called him gay, or talked about how no woman on earth would want to be treated like a piece of meat. Thinking about the woman he knew that specifically didn't want any goddamned attachments besides someone to hang out with and shoot the breeze, oh yeah, and have marathon fucking sessions with. And she was calling him gay? Really? He just gave her a smile when she said it that let her know that she was wrong, it was so fucking egotistical that it could not have been anything but the fact that she was so far out of the ballpark that she was staring down at the parking lot.
The last thing that she said made him scowl though, thinking about the last time that he was genuinely nice to someone, without any particular strings attached. Flashes of Jenny hit his mind and he scowled a little darker, feeling a familiar feeling of a headache starting to rise, a nice hangover headache. A part of him wondered why the fuck it was creeping into his head now, but another part of him didn't care, and realized he just fucking wanted a drink and had forgotten his usual hip flask. "Like you even know what a real man is." Jack said, leaving that particular barb, there, crossin ghis arms for a moment as he considered what exactly to say to the rest of her rant.
