She did indeed smell the wine as he spoke but it didn't frighten her away. She stared into his eyes but the feelings she felt weren't just from his gaze. It was just from being around him. She bit down on the plump part of her bottom lip. One arm wrapped around his neck to hold herself up and the other touched his elbow. "You're drunk, aren't you? I didn't know dhampir's could get drunk. I guess there is a lot about you that I don't know." It happened without her thinking as she gently drew her nails through the longer pieces of his dark hair.
She wondered what it was that lead him here but figured that one question at a time would be enough. Besides, the way he spoke about what he could do for her made her skin tingle. It was like his voice and those words actually ran along her flesh like rich honey, moving slowly and coating every part of her. It was a struggle to keep from thinking of the dirty things she wanted to do when she was around him. Raina tried not to let them get the best of her but that wasn't an easy task to accomplish. "I don't think you want to know the answer to that." She said with a small chuckle as she looked down at her bare knees that curled over the side of his legs. Her bare feet hung over the edge of the bench and she had dropped her shoes when he pulled her.
"I was hoping to see you around. I have your book of poems from Rilke. I found it before I left the pond the night we met." She felt her breath raise her chest and flush her skin as she felt how easy it would be to ask him back to her room. "I wanted to return it to you."
