“I do not believe it is… boring… I simply have no interest in participating in physical relations with Earthlings. I am not close to the age at which I would be physically unable to bear children, and I do not need to procreate at this time in my life. It would only hinder my studies.” Sex on her planet was only referred to as a biological function. Of course, it was said to be an experience that was considered pleasant, but there was no emotional or irrational need to know that feeling for her people. Instead, it was simply something that happened when one was bonded to her or his life mate.
“I do not feel a need to fully understand that part of humanoid behavior when it is simply a biological function in which my own people participate though they do not do it as fervently as your people.” In her mind, sex was simply something that required no understanding. She felt she already understood it. She only wanted to understand emotional drives, what made people tick, so to speak.
Dhivael looked at Britta as she spoke. “Yes. I am familiar with much of the geography of Earth.” Dhivael had visited a few different states in her time on Earth, but she had not had time for much else before her studies began at Alden.
“The differences are extensive. Had I not studied extensively on how to live on a primitive planet, I may not have so easily assimilated.” Of course, none would truly say Dhivael was able to assimilate at all. She was so different from everyone else. However, she was well trained in living with the lesser accommodations, so it was simple enough to her.
“I came because I have an interest in Earthlings. Their lives and their emotions are fascinating. I would like to understand them better. There is no better way to understand a group of beings than to live among them.
“What brought you from Florida to the North? Were there not other schools you could attend closer to your living arrangements? I will put those same question to you, Kay.” She knew the importance of including everyone in a conversation by now, but she was also curious to know the answers.
Britta’s admission about her ways of seduction was almost in a direct contrast to Kay’s. The siren had seemed almost… ashamed if that was the right assessment of her gifts while the nymph seemed to glory in them. Dhivael had much to learn.
The Rihan realized that Britta was not new to the school like Dhivael was when she asked Kay about her attendance. “How many years have you studied at Alden University, Britta?” She asked once Kay had responded about her attendance.
