Dhivael looked at her own tray. “Yes. I have been trying to assimilate my diet to Earth standards better understand the people who live on this planet. These kinds of foods are what I have learned is recommended for humans. Are these not the same foods recommended for all people of this planet?
“The food on ch’Havran is much different, and I believe it is more nutritious and quicker to ingest. Some of the foods I have tried on this planet have been something akin to poison in my body, but the bodies of your people must be very different to be able to find nutrition in such foods. The other idea is that your bodies have adapted far more than mine to be able to eat such things.”
Dhivael was silent for a moment, allowing her words to sink into the mind of Kay. It was apparently jarring for humans if she quickly transitioned from one subject to the next too quickly.
