Hey, everyone!

Listen up!

This is pretty important. Ally and I have collaborated on something that we hope is going to ensure that more characters are able to interact.

On Friday, August 13th, 2010, Maya Johar djinn_yo_pants and Micah Petrov starred are throwing a big party at his apartment, and everyone is invited!

The way this is going to work is that there will be one big thread - started by either Ally or by myself depending on who gets to it first. Because everyone is going to be interacting with different people, we’re going to do something like mini-threads within the main thread. In order to accomplish this, people need to keep in mind that there are two different ways to post a comment in a thread: “Post a New Comment” or “Reply to This.”

The “Post a New Comment” is located at the very top and the very bottom of the comment portions of every thread. This is what will be clicked when you want to start a fresh mini-thread.

The “Reply to This” is located at the bottom left of every comment. This is what will be clicked when you want to reply to a mini-thread.

It’ll look something like this:

If this is confusing at all, just ask, and I will try to make this more comprehensive.

Yeah. I know, I know. We already have so many new characters popping into the bunch that it's going to be difficult to keep track, but I got all excited about it and decided it was time to shove this little piece of work into the mix. Ally was too tired to do a mod post to introduce her, so she said I could just go ahead and do it myself.

So, Kathryn ((mun of Dhivael stoic_dhivael and of Jia Li leaves_of_ash)) here with my third and hopefully final character. I have a feeling if I have any more characters, I won't be able to handle it.

Anyway, this is Maya Johar. She's a jinni ((singular version of djinn)), and she's a party girl for sure. She's very vain and often shallow, and she loves having the spotlight on her. Drugs, sex, and rock 'n' roll are definitely her things. She's pansexual, and she takes pride in her skills of seduction. She's even seduced people who apparently weren't into women. That takes some skill, yes?

On the outside, she's super fun-loving and magnetic, but on the inside, she's selfish and she lacks a real conscience. She doesn't feel guilt about ruining lives or breaking hearts, but she is djinn, soooo yeah. ^^_^^

As far as school goes, she's a theatre major. She mostly does backstage work ((like sewing and choosing costumes, painting sets, etc.)), but she also loves to act, and she's pretty good at it.

She's a junior, so that will have given her plenty of time to make enemies, friends with benefits, regular friends, and some regular acquaintances. Maybe the sorts of people with whom she just parties but with whom she doesn't regularly associate.

Soo... yeah... Maya Johar! ^^_^^

Hey, everyone!

Kathryn ((mun of Jia Li leaves_of_ash)) here with an all new character!

Her name is Dhivael ir-Elehu t'Vrenak, and she's an extraterrestrial from the planet ch’Havran in a distant galaxy. She's come to Earth with the intention of studying the humanoids that inhabit it along with their emotions and their cultures. See, the people from her planet don't feel emotions as closely as humans of Earth. They only feel emotions distantly. They pushed emotion on the back burner centuries upon centuries ago in favor of increasing intelligence to what it is today. That's why they're so technologically advanced that they can travel from their planet to Earth.


Anyway, millions of years ago when Neanderthals were still present on Earth, it's believed that a ship containing Dhivael's race of people and their sister races crashed on this planet, so their people have been studying any possible connections between the humanoids of Earth and those of the planet ch'Havran and sister planets. After all, the people of Earth do look a great deal more like her people than Neanderthals. =3

Anyway, yeah. Anticipate many amusingly awkward moments where Dhivael offends without meaning to do so or where she seems incredibly naive on her quest to understand emotions and the strange humanoids of Earth.

Hey, everyone! This is the official “We’re Back!” for Alden. Misery is now home, and we’re ready to play some more.

I asked Ally, and she said it would be okay to post some pictures from our trip. Misery is only allowing me to post three with him in it, but I have one of me with sparklers though the quality fails. I think Ryan wanted to see the sparklers, or it may have been the fireworks, but I have a few of those, too.

I just thought that I would let you all know that Misery ((mun of Desmond Mangas poeticmisery and Jack Daniels jack_daniels)) and I aren’t going to be available from July 2nd through July 6th.

He’s visiting me during that time, sooo yeah. I’ll try to convince him to allow me to post pictures from our visit, but I can’t really promise anything. =3

Anyway, don’t think that you can't make replies and such until we’re available because we still have a whole day left to make reply posts.

Okay. The group chat happened tonight, and the only people that showed up were Ally ((mod and mun of Britta, Dannika, Isabelle, and Marie)), Matt ((mun of Alissa and Gemma)), Misery ((mun of Desmond and Jack)), and me.

We discussed some future plot points and everything, so it's definitely worth reading the log. I managed to save it successfully this time.

Hey, everyone!

My name is Kathryn, and I'm twenty years of age though I hit the big twenty-one in November. ^^_^^

Anyway, I've been role playing for about ten years though I don't think I really started getting anywhere near decent until I was eighteen ((I've read old role play posts, so my comparison is valid.))

Anyway, I've been role playing in games of Ally's and of Mark's since I was seventeen, and we get along, so it seemed only natural that they point the way toward this game. ^o_~^


Now to talk about my character.

This is Jia Li Adlar, and she's a twenty-year-old dryad. All of her information can be found in her profile, but I'll let you know a little summary about her now.

She's a sophomore with a major in environmental studies. It seemed only natural considering her connection to her tree and to trees in general.

Anyway, she has a bit of trouble trusting people as an ex-boyfriend of hers went psycho and tried to burn her tree to ash ((I know... bad pun considering her tree species is the white ash...)) when she was sixteen. However, she still likes to be social. After all, you don't have to fully trust someone to speak with them or become their acquaintance. Also, just because it takes time to earn her trust, it doesn't mean it's impossible.

She's currently enrolled for the fall term, but I think it makes sense for her to take a summer class to actually have her at Alden. Otherwise, I would have no reason to have her there until this fall since this is played in real time. Of course... I could just have her there to practice dancing and such since she's a part of the women's dance team in her house ((Kemen)).

For potential plot lines, Jia should probably have a few friends she met last year if that's possible, and making new friends is always fun.

She also needs a dorm mate because she doesn't have one. ^^_^^

If anyone can think of any other lines they'd like to have with her that I haven't mentioned, I'm totally open to hearing about it and possibly playing with it.
