"There are those who claim that the Cheysuli and the Ihlini come from the same stock, but I don't know whether I believe that. We look similar enough, I suppose, but our magic is so different - it's difficult to be sure, and most Cheysuli don't want to think about being related to our enemy. As to the magic, you don't need to prove anything to me. If you were Ihlini, Sima would have warned me. Your world's magic is obviously different."
