Obi-Wan | De-Aged Helena - Castle grounds

In the days that had elapsed since she woke up here, Helena had to adjust to this place. It was strange having to learn what the technology was (the television was an extremely complex contraption!), but it was all fascinating at the same time. She was also very relieved that the wardrobe she had to choose from consisted mainly of pants and no corsets.

Clad in a pair of jeans, long-sleeved button up shirt and her winter jacket, she headed outside for some fresh air. Her waist length hair was in a braid, draped over her left shoulder. She hadn't really bothered to put it up in hairstyles that were fashionable in 1890 when she didn't have to. Oddly enough, the woman felt more comfortable in this time than in her own. Here she didn't feel as though she stuck out as the odd duck.

As she walked, she noticed a man, and feeling rather jovial and social, she went up to him. "Hello," she greeted. "It is a rather lovely winter day, is it not?" She asked, commenting on the fact it was snowing lightly.

Something looked and felt...off about Helena, but he didn't know her well and was loathe to bring it up. He turned to face her with a pleasant expression.

"Oh. Yes. Lovely."

A smile crossed her face, and as he faced her, Helena ran her gaze along his form. It was a natural reflex for her.

"This may be a strange question, but do we know each other here? I woke up here a couple days ago." So alright, the question had multiple meanings, especially coming from her, but it was actually an innocent enough question. For now.

"Oh, yes. We've met on a few occasions." She was another who lost years and their memory. Like Padme. ...Like Siri. It made sense now. "Do you need help?"

Discovering who she knew in this place was an intriguing experience for her. Clearly she had good aesthetic taste. Looks weren't everything, but they certainly didn't hurt!

"I am trying to piece together who I know here." She smiled warmly. "It has been a bit disconcerting that there are people who know me, but I do not know them. May I ask your name?" She was already certain he knew her name.

"Oh, of course." He gave her a small bow. "Obi-Wan Kenobi."

He gestured to the castle nearby.

"It must be strange to find yourself in such a place, suddenly."

She gave him a polite curtsey in response. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Mister Kenobi." Her manners were still on par with her older counterpart.

"Oh it is, yes. Though I do enjoy a good adventure, if I do say so myself." She smiled, looking at him. "How about yourself? Are you an adventurous man?" She raised her brows a bit suggestively.

The innuendo went right over his head.

"I suppose there's a certain amount of 'adventure' inherent in my job," Obi-Wan admitted.

It was a bit difficult to tell if Obi-Wan simply didn't understand the innuendo or if he was simply choosing to ignore it. Clearly that meant she should keep trying until she knew for certain which one it was.

"Oh? What is your job?" She stepped a bit closer, not yet invading his personal space. But that would change soon enough.

"Oh, the police," and then her smile turned rather suggestive. "So you are the strong, protective sort, then?" And there was possibly a bit of suggestion within her tone. And, to top it off, she stepped slightly closer to him.

"Oh. Um..." This time he noticed her moving closer. And something was weird about how she was talking. And her emotional state was...odd. "Mostly they have me...filling out reports."

While the version of Helena Obi-Wan was more familiar with was still a sexual creature, it was far more controlled. But the woman that now stood in front of him seemed to almost ooze sex appeal. She was most certainly a free spirit in every sense of the phrase.

"Filling out reports? That sounds rather boring. You seem more like the type to enjoy the action far more." Again, her gaze ran over him. "You seem to be a strong man who likes doing things with his hands." And there was more suggestion there.

"I..." With his hands? Was that some sort of a euphemism? Because it was becoming clear from her appraising glances that she wasn't assessing his ability to do police work. He cleared his throat. "I beg your pardon?" he asked weakly.

Now he seemed to be catching on to her comments. The grin on her face turned more sultry and she inserted herself into his personal bubble, close enough where she could touch him if she so chose to.

"You do seem to be the type who would rather do things with his hands than to sit idle at a desk only doing paperwork." She wasn't even trying to mask the suggestion in her voice. And that glint in her eye wasn't innocent either. "You must be very strong to be a policeman as well," she said as her gaze moved to his arms, curious about his muscle tone.

"Ah. Um. I suppose." Would it be rude to move away? He was well-toned, if she was wondering. Jedi took physical training seriously. He looked a little nervous. "It...requires a certain amount of...conditioning."

Anakin | De-Aged Helena - Stables
[info]indelibleink
2014-01-22 02:07 am UTC (link)
After her encounter with Obi-Wan, Helena took a walk around the grounds a bit, gathering in as much fresh air as she could. She still didn't like being away from Christina this long, it made her a bit edgy, but she needed to accept it and hope that Myka was right in that she would be returned to the precise moment she'd been taken from.

Still, while she was here she was determined to enjoy herself and the world around her. This impossible world of endless wonder that seemed to surpass even the Warehouse itself! It was a writer's paradise, really, and when she wasn't exploring the library of the castle or some other fascinating aspect of this place, she had been writing.

As she came upon the stables, she remembered Anakin saying that was where his speeder was. Intrigued about seeing it, and meeting this Anakin in person, hopefully, Helena entered the stables and made her way along until she came to a stall where a vehicle she'd never seen before was in.

"Bloody hell," she said with no small amount of awe.

It was cold outside. And even though the stables had heaters, it wasn’t by any means a balmy interior. Still, Anakin found working on his speeders soothing. After living for days as the monster he would become when he returned home – breathing in that hate and rage for someone who Anakin loved deeply – he needed something that took his mind off everything.

He was in the stall near the work table when Helena came in to gawk, as there was no other way to describe her forward admiration of the speeder.

It was interesting seeing the difference in Helena. Younger, not that Helena was old to begin with, but there was something very different about her carriage, her manners. And it wasn’t just the double-entendres she was dropping left and right.

“That’s a bit more exclamatory than your first reaction to the bike,” he said casually.

The woman that stood there staring in awe at the speeder was a completely different woman than Anakin had come to know. She had all the optimism in the world, all the love for making the impossible possible. Most importantly, and perhaps a detail Anakin could notice with the Force, was her emotions were completely different. Guilt, regret, anger, hate and deeply-seeded sorrow and grief were completely absent from her. She was happy and her emotions were all lighter and freer than the older Helena's. Though another distinct feeling that was missing was love for Myka. Love was still there, only in this form, she held love only for Christina. Even her posture was different, less rigid, but still straight and proper.

Yet at the same time, this Helena was intensely more protective of her heart, and her walls in that respect were completely erect. Even known Anakin was a friend of hers here didn't warrant her bringing her walls down. She didn't bring them down for anyone except Christina.

Turning her gaze to Anakin at his response, she couldn't help a smirk. "Is it? I must not have been as wholly surprised the other first time I saw it." And, of course, Helena's gaze ran the length of Anakin's form. He was rather attractive, she had to say.

Anakin suddenly felt very self-conscious. Helena’s look was, to say the least, disconcerting. She was always so well-mannered around everyone. But she was positively leering at him. This was all so very odd.

“I think you were still surprised,” he said with some hesitation. “But the speeder wasn’t complete at that time. And you used less colorful language.”

Was she leering at him? Why yes she was. She was already largely convinced she and Anakin had slept together, but that was also based upon the fact Helena herself had slept the better part of her friends back home. So that wasn't strange to her.

"Ah, I see. I must say, it is a beautiful vehicle," she complimented. "I am used to seeing horse-drawn carriages not things of this like." She stepped a bit closer to the vehicle (and to Anakin because yes, she likes invading people's space though she's not exactly encroaching on Anakin's yet), looking it over before she looked up at Anakin. "You built this?"

Anakin wasn’t certain if Helena’s entrance into his space was deliberate, after all, she was very interested in the bike and she could just be moving to get a better look. He didn’t often attribute nefarious motivations to people he considered friends.

Either way, he stepped out of the way to give her the space she needed to fully appreciate the speeder.

“Yes. I used to work on these speeders back home so the design was burned into my mind. It was natural to make it.”

Helena wanted to let her fingers trail across the speeder, but she did know better than to touch someone else's work without being invited to do so. She did know and stay within boundaries in some respects. She did look it over quite closely, smiling with appreciation at the craftsmanship that went into it.

She then looked back to Anakin with a bit of a suggestive turn to her smile. "You have quite the gift. There are surprisingly few that can see a design from conception to completion. Do you work with other types of machinery as well?"

Oddly enough, Anakin wouldn’t have minded if Helena wanted to touch the bike. He trusted her to not break off anything important, even if she didn’t know what every part did. She was an inventor and mechanic, and that was still evident even in her younger form.

“Yes,” Anakin acknowledged. He chose to ignore the suggestion in her smile. This was his friend, after all, and he would give her the company of friendship. “I am a professor up at the university here. I teach mechanical engineering and robotics.”

No, she wasn't the type to go around breaking things. That was counterproductive to trying to build things. Besides, she had respect for such things. If she was here long enough, perhaps she'd do what she could to learn just how this speeder worked.

The instant Anakin said he was a professor sparked a heightened interest in him. He was clearly intelligent, perhaps even a genius, and meeting such intellect was something she enjoyed immensely. In more ways than one. "You are quite the intelligent man, to be so young and already be a professor. We must have some wonderful conversations." While talking about literature was a form of foreplay to Helena, so was intellectual discussion.

And oh the intellectual discussions she could imagine with Anakin.
