Who: Regulus and Al What: A chance encounter that leads to shopping When: Saturday Where: Out on the town Warnings: Should be low, but will update as needed
For the last hour he'd been just wandering the city. It was still cold here in this odd land, cold enough that Al had had to transfigure bedcurtains into a coat just to be able to leave the castle. The simple black coat was pulled on over his sweater and his knit cap was pulled low over his ears. Both hands are tucked into his now warmed pockets to keep them from getting cold.
Al had multiple purposes for the casual stroll through the streets - one was to familiarize himself with it, another to look into a job and finally, to find basic necessities so he could stop transfiguring things. Some of them he didn't mind losing but eventually he would have to actually buy items. He'd only put it off this long because Al disliked shopping, especially during the holiday season. The crowds were always bigger and there was a sense of urgency and animosity in the air despite the time of year and what it meant. Al had none of these things which is why a hour and too many stores later he had nothing to show for this so-called shopping trip.
When he came across a tailor, Al couldn't help but chuckle to himself and shake his head. The only time he'd ever been to see a tailor was when he had his robes fitted for school. Definitely not the sort of place he'd go into. That is until he saw a familiar face in the window. One Al had seen in the moving family portraits at Grimmauld Place. For some reason it was different seeing him in person, especially considering Al had practically grown up in the man's room.
Seeing as how he had no real schedule, Al took a few steps backwards to the door and pushed it open. He didn't move far inside the shop only just enough so that the door would close behind him properly, the difference in temperature was drastic. If he stayed too long and warmed up then stepping back outside would be harder. As Al leaned against the wall he had to wave off an eager tailor that moved towards him.
He took in the various details of the shop as he spoke, "Seems like a good place to spend a lot of money all at once."
