Anakin moved back to his and Padmé’ bedroom and quietly removed his phone. He waited until he was back in the living room to dial Siri’s number. The phone rang and he watched Obi-Wan, knowing exactly what the man was going through, even if Obi-Wan didn’t want to admit to the attachments that were at the root of his pain.
The phone rang, and then, instead of the message saying the number was no longer in service, Anakin got Siri’s voice message. He gave the phone the most curious look, then tried again. Same result. But there was that little matter of not being able to feel her in the Force…
“Oh.” It dawned on him what could be happening. On the plus side Obi-Wan wouldn’t be feeling the pain of loss anymore. But there was some explaining to do. “She’s still here, Master.”
