He didn't look at her right away, but when he did there was a steely resolve in his eyes.
"I was hoping he would have told you himself," he admitted. "In our world, some time after..." Her death. He couldn't. He went another route. "Near the end of the war. In our world, Anakin will fall to the Dark Side and wipe out the Order."
Not exactly the occasion, he felt, for such news, but he couldn't simply keep it from her anymore.
"Chancellor Palpatine is the Sith Lord. He'd been poisoning Anakin's mind slowly, for years."
He looked away.
"He sees it now. All of it. He's horrified by it. He's done everything he can to distance himself from it, but he takes full responsibility as well. If you feel a heavy cloak of guilt on him, that's what it's from."
