"It wasn't the last time I was in there." Carol reassured the drunk Dixon, though it probably would be moving for him, considering it was because of the alcohol. He was probably more drunk now than he had been at the CDC from what she remembered, actually. Now that they were in a safer world, though some would debate that fact, it seemed like it was more okay. Carol didn't mind. The drinking didn't make him meat, and it wasn't hurting anybody, so she didn't really see a problem with it.
Carol felt his fingers against her shoulder and shifted just a tad closer to him than she had been, not minding being the thing that helped steady him. She hadn't been expecting the beer to be dropped, though. In hindsight, she probably should have grabbed that from him earlier. She hadn't, though, and hindsight was 20/20. So, instead the beer splashed the front of her, mostly the hem of her shirt and some of her sweatpants before landing near her feet where some of the liquid seemed to run out of the bottle, though it wasn't a huge amount she felt it run just enough so that it touched her toes a bit, causing her to shift her feet back. It wasn't so bad, at least she wasn't soaked. She was just a bit damp for the moment.
"It's okay." She reassured him softly, surprised when his head landed on her shoulder. She looked down at the side of his face that she could see. He had so many fewer inhibitions when he was like this. It was nice in a way. She didn't know that he'd remember anything from tonight into the next day, though. It could go either way. Without thinking, though, Carol brought a hand up, daring to gently rest her hand on his head, smoothing his hair a bit a moment after. "Shhh, it's okay." She reassured toward the end of his rambling. "You're fine. It's okay, you're forgiven. I just hope I am too." She smiled, unable to help herself.
After a moment she forced herself to pull her hand away and slid the other so that it was around him, hand rested on his back. "Lets get you to your room." She told him, making the move, gently urging him to walk along with her toward his bedroom. She would clean the beer up before she went back to bed.
