Daryl Dixon ([info]littledixon) wrote in [info]makebelievelog,
"Long as the floor ain't movin' in there," he said. His voice was slurred from both his inebriation and his embarrassment at being unable to apparently walk like a normal human being. Daryl's reactions were a little slow on the uptake, but he knew that he must look like a damn fool as he tried to get the walls to stop waving like the goddamn parting river. His cheeks were slightly red, though luckily it blended in with the redness of his face from the alcohol, and after a moment to tossing aside his dignity, he reached out for her, needing her steadiness to help guide him back to the room. His fingers found her shoulder just as the beer bottle held between his forefinger and thumb slipped from his grasp. The bottle didn't break when it hit the floor; it was too durable for that; but it did make a nice thunk sound when it finally hit the floor.

Daryl stared at it for a moment. "Shit." The word was kind of choked out. He leaned forward and rested his head against Carol's shoulder with a slight groan. "M'sorry... Shouldn'ta drunk so much... Shouldn'ta done a lotta shit... Shouldn'ta said what I said... M'sorry..." He was rambling, but he didn't even realize it.
