Who: Tom and Huck Where: The little camp that they've made for themselves When: Afternoon What: Discussing concerns Status: Closed; Incomplete
Tom had to admit that he liked getting back to basics in some ways. Sure, he COULD have stayed in that kind of creepy castle, but he and Huck had both come to the conclusion that they should camp out instead until they could put enough money together for their own place. He just...the place was so ritzy that it gave him hives. He couldn't really explain it. Maybe it just had something to do with his upbringing. He'd never really wanted for anything, but that places was just too nice.
They were feeding themselves mostly with fishing and whatever, but he had ventured into the town in order to pick up a bag of apples, since he had a craving for some. Dropping them in a backpack that he'd 'gotten ahold of' from somewhere after buying them, he headed back to their little tent in the woods.
"Huck, you around?" he called out when he arrived. "Picked something up from town." He pulled an apple out of the backpack and bite into it, sitting down on a tree stump and dropping the backpack next to him as he started to really tuck into his apple. Apparently, the walk back from town had burned more energy than he had expected, because he was suddenly hungry. He hoped that Huck was around with something that he'd hunted or fished.
