Padmé smiled back, genuinely, happy to be there. "Thank you."

She knew that Myka had departed, and that the two had been engaged, though she didn't know much about Myka outside of a group setting. She had seen the other woman at Christmas and during the discussion of the younger Helena. Otherwise, she had only met her once. That had been a random encounter in the hallway after the elder Anakin had told the younger about what would happen. Padmé had been going to get Ani some breakfast to bring to him in his workroom. Myka had offered to get her a list of classic Earth literature that Padmé should read, though it had seemingly slipped through the cracks of things to do. Padmé didn't mind, really.

"Who is this?" Padmé gravitated toward the cat with a smile, putting a hand out so that the pet could sniff it for approval or rejection. "Ani still hasn't warmed up to the idea of Sonja, my cat, but he tolerates me having a cat around. I figure that's a victory of sorts in itself."
