Padmé shook her head when she thought about infants looking like slugs. She knew there was a lack of hair, but slugs?! "Earthlings are odd." It was a statement that had been made a number of times by the couple and, undoubtedly, would be made a number of times later.
When the clerk remarked about the gender, Padmé was confused, but smiled back politely. "We don't know what the gender is. I don't think I want to know, actually."
"Well, our return policy is on the back of your receipt. The tags still have to be attached, receipt has to be with it." After they had been rung up and paid, the clerk flipped the receipt over to show Padmé and Anakin once it had printed out where the return policy was and what the time and details entailed. Again, it left Padmé confused, but she didn't say anything more until they got out of the store.
"This is the one time that I wish I had Sabé or - someone here that I could send out instead of doing this myself." Padmé admitted, reaching for Anakin's hand again. "We're also going to need to get a crib, changing table, and high chair. Would you consider looking and deciding which models are the safest? A lot of my reading did talk about unsafe cribs and babies choking and being hurt, or even dying." In short, Padmé didn't want to get the wrong thing.
