Padmé Amidala Skywalker ([info]i_cannot_follow) wrote in [info]makebelievelog,
"I - don't really know." Padmé had been to numerous different planets on diplomatic missions, to different embassies and so forth to diplomatic dinners, and so on and so forth. She had read all the parenting books that she had been able. But she hadn't read anything about nursery decoration or, better, clothing shopping; she had no idea why the clothing was divided the way it was.

After a few moments, she took a hesitant step forward toward the blue section and touched one of the nearest racks of clothing. The small child's outfit was pressed between her thumb and her index finger as she pulled it slightly away from the rack and lifted it to look at it. "Why does it say 'Daddy's little slugger?'' Padmé turned to look at Anakin, confused brown eyes looking at him. There was likely blatant gratitude for his presence conveyed in the look, or at least if Anakin was paying attention to her face instead of the baby and childrens' clothing. "I don't know what a 'slugger' is." It sounded horrifying.

She her hand stray from that outfit and turned her attention toward the remainder of the clothing and items. She dove in, after a hesitant moment, and came up with a few small articles of blue colored clothing without words or unidentifiable creatures on them. She also found a package of baby sized socks that were blue and white striped. "Why don't we get these and try another store? Maybe it's a matter of this place. I like blue, but I don't know if we want to have all blue things..."
