Padmé Amidala Skywalker ([info]i_cannot_follow) wrote in [info]makebelievelog,
Padmé finally move her head, though it was to look up at Anakin and smile. It was difficult not to revel in these moments, where the focus was truly herself and Anakin rather than what an entire galactic quadrant and what their needs were. Even as some part of her mind occasionally tugged at her, with guilt over the future or her lack of focus on others, her mind had started to circle around again to the topic of her future. Her future with Anakin, and their son or daughter. She deserved that happiness and so did Anakin.

"We would have to go shopping tomorrow." There was a faint, but definitely there hint of a smile on her face as she stated the alternate plan option. "You yourself have said how odd Earthlings can be - and this is figuring out shopping in a new section. So having you around will make it less stressful for me."

With that, and once the trolly was at the platform, Padmé was ready to go in and face the unknown of baby shopping. She (certainly) didn't expect to get everything. Getting a few of the basics, working toward the goal, seemed better. The same was true of her own clothing. Padmé, in truth, had no idea what she should be getting in relation to maternity clothing. She just knew that, unfortunately, she was going to need some different sizes soon. Of all the things they covered in parenting books, clothing seemed the least focused on (or at least out of what she had read.) Primarily focus seemed to be on appropriate play/toys, emotional development, and "milestones."
