Singer raced ahead of Sam, but Sam didn't mind. The Golden would circle back when he got too far ahead. He'd respond to a whistle if Sam called him. He'd never strayed too far, he'd never failed to come back, and Sam enjoyed seeing the dog frolic like an over grown puppy.
Sam kept a steady pace, just enjoying the day. There was just enough of a chill in the air to keep Sam's cheeks red, but he wasn't uncomfortable. Sam liked the cold, actually. He always had.
He spoke to most everyone he passed. Since Keleios had repaired the damage in his head, he felt better than he'd felt in probably years. He liked talking to people, where before he'd tended to stay to himself as much as possible.
"Hello," he called out to someone. He knew he'd seen her around before, but he couldn't recall if he'd talked to her. Things that happened before Keleios cleared his head were somewhat blurry. "Beautiful day, isn't it?"
