Padmé couldn't begin to imagine what Anakin would have to say about this once it was all over. She imagined he might be against getting one of these creatures, but there was something terribly endearing about them in-person. She didn't think it was simply because it was Anakin, either.

She watched the cat, continuing to not move, though she had a plan in mind if the cat retreated under the couch again after getting the offered bite of food. She was rather confident that she could rip a piece off of the chicken with a small pinch, due to the way it was sitting in her hand, and a small flick would put it between them without her needing to move. She could continue to bait the cat... to try and bribe it for its affections as well as assure it that she meant no harm and, rather, just wanted it happy.

She was admittedly a little baffled about one aspect of the situation. Padmé was surprised at how far the cat could stretch itself. Was that normal?
