Padmé looked up from the text and paused, only briefly, before flashing a toothy grin. Anakin looked ridiculous, but quite cute. And she couldn't help but appreciate him putting on the ears and lightening her mood.

She sat the book down, slipping a marker back in to hold her page. "A cat? Not quite. They're covered in fur and have a tail... but as a whole, you're far cuter." Never mind the fact that Padmé thought that most of the popular pets were rather adorable, cats included. Anakin always topped the list since he was her adorable husband and they were just someone else's pet.
