Myka woke with a start Saturday morning and was unable to fall back asleep. Carefully she slipped herself out of Helena's bed and made sure the covers were placed back over her. A smile appeared on her face as she noticed how peaceful the older woman looked while she slept. Myka knew that the peace that was on the Victorian woman's face was as a result of being close to her. She had her own room but had spent hardly any time in it. Seeking the comfort of being in Helena's presence more important than utilizing the room the castle had given her.
As quietly as she could she slipped out of the room and out the main door into the hallway. A cup of tea would help to calm the storm of emotions raging inside of her. She'd dreamt that Helena had ended their relationship and then not long after had died. Myka knew that she should talk to her about these persistent dreams but was afraid of the implications. Part of her couldn't help but indicate that something bad was on the horizon. She wasn't superstitious by any means but the explanation for why she kept dreaming of situations like these couldn't be good. Lost in thought, Myka didn't hear someone coming around the corner and only stopped when the woman jerked back. Her mind was still foggy having just woken up and dealing with the storm of emotions that she didn't recognize the woman at first. Running her hand through her curls she said, "No, it's my fault, I should have been watching where I was going."
