Ariadne had a Halloween party the next day, starting at seven, and she had spent most of her time after work preparing for it. Really, she had spent most of her free time had been spent on party prep. Arthur had helped with the decorations, both shopping and putting up, which had been a great help. Still, she had tried to tackle most of the food herself.
That was why, when it came time for dinner, the idea of cooking made her groan. She knew of The Roadhouse and the fact that those who had been kidnapped drank/ate free there and, since she had only gone once before (when they had decorated for Halloween,) she decided to give it a try. It wasn't exactly going out for dinner, but it was close enough and she wouldn't have to cook.
She found herself rethinking that plan after entering, realizing that (of course) a Friday night was busy. She hesitated near a corner of the counter, looking around to see if there was an an empty seat anywhere nearby. Maybe she should've given more thought to getting takeout.
