"What happens if they begin working and you've all but made them impossible to use?" Myka asked. While Claudia's argument had merit she was still wary about the younger agent tinkering around with the Farnsworths. Artie would put up a fight and in his absence she felt that it was her duty to ensure that nothing happened.
With thoughts of Artie came the emotional pain in her heart. Their future was horrifying to think about. But he had promised that he'd outlive them all so he would pull through. Artie had done it before and she had every confidence that he would again.
A small smile took over Myka's facial features at the hint of a pout on Claudia's face. Her fever had created quite a tale, however horrifying it may be. She vowed to take better care of herself to never let it happen again. At some point she would need to find a way to make amends with Helena over their fight. But where to begin on that, well, she was at a loss. "I seem to recall it ending happily," she said and then rolled her eyes and added, "Rub it in, devil child. Just you wait till you fall ill, Claudia, you'll see what 'yard time' feels like."
