Myka Ophelia Bering ([info]beringandwells) wrote in [info]makebelievelog,
If she wasn't still recovering she might have made a comment on the "good behavior" remark. As it was she just didn't have it in her. But she did level a slight glare in Claudia's direction. Good behavior made her sound like a disobedient child doing something right for a change. But then again wasn't that exactly what she had been acting like? Her argument with Helena had been over something so trivial and yet she had thrown a temper tantrum. And through text messages no less. The only difference between a child's temper tantrum and hers had been the fact that she had more ammunition to throw back at her. Oh, it had been a low blow to bring up Christina as an example and to remind her lover that she was a murderer. Myka knew that she was going to pay for those comments. Helena may look put together but she had her demons still and those were two of them. An ache settled in her heart at the pain she must have caused.

Needing a distraction from her thoughts she moved away from the bookshelves. "You took Helena Halloween shopping?" Myka asked completely avoiding answering the question about the horns. Though on some level she did find them amusing and oddly poignant for Claudia's identity as "Devil Child." Myka was saddened that she was unable to take Helena out to experience new things. She wanted to introduce her love to what she had missed over the course of a century. But even she had to admit that she'd be lost in a costume store. Claudia would have the most patience to guide the Victorian woman. And Myka wouldn't begrudge the younger agent the opportunity to bond with the older woman. Claudia having lost both her parents could truly use having Helena around long term, and quite possibly allowing both women to heal. "Did you buy a matching outfit to go with your horns or are you trying for the natural look, my dear little Devil Child," she added with a smile.
