Claudia Donovan ([info]clauds) wrote in [info]makebelievelog,
Claudia was wearing the sequin covered, powder-puff based devil horns that she had got when out shopping for Halloween costumes with H.G. on Wednesday. She had also bought some spiderweb glue-on eyelashes and a pair of light up pumpkin earrings, but those had temporarily been left sitting on her dresser. The eyelashes could only take so many times of being glued, removed, and reglued; they would be held in saving for Halloween week. The earrings held a high probability of making an appearance sooner, but for now Claudia was only going with the horns. As she figured it, she didn't need any distractions when she was going to do some actual side-work after work. Flashing things by her ears, when she had her laptop screen open, reflected and were actually surprisingly extremely distracting.

She had two plans, currently. She wanted to get Philo Farnsworth that existed in print form to buff out everything she had found online, but she also wanted to research "English sweating sickness." The internet may have known everything, but Claudia wanted everything and a bag of chips. There really was a startlingly small amount known about the sickness and between the Orchid and everything else involved, Claudia wanted to make sure that there was no detail missed. She knew she couldn't change anything going on back home, at least not from the Land of Make Believe, but she still wanted to know for her own sake. But Claudia found a source of distraction before she even got to the section she had intended to peruse.

"Myka! Are you feeling better?" Claudia shifted her books out and grinned at the other woman, hoping that she was indeed doing better. "Or is this a jail break?"
