Padmé hadn't yet experienced it, though she had experienced similar things to the arena. She had seen and studied the layout, watched the scene unfold in horror as she had seen the Separatists express their hatred of her, their desire for her head. The Clone Wars had started that day. It would be what she would return to, once her stay in the Land of Make Believe was over. In a way, it was a nightmare for her, despite being an aspect of reality. Also unfortunate for the Senator, the dream had started right as Padmé and Anakin had been chained to their respective pillars to await execution, rather than affording her that brief moment of honesty with Anakin beforehand when she admitted her love.

The scene had unfolded as seen in the movie, her mind filling in bits and pieces between the heart-pounding snippets shown with reasonable guesses of how a battle like that would go. The world of the dream was funny, in that way, and it was a concept that Padmé didn't understand; it all seemed real to her as it happened.

While the news of Captain Panaka's betrayal of her had cut deeply, knowing he had told Palpatine of her relationship with Anakin to gain political favor, her former Captain had managed to have her trained for quite a number of situations. His betrayal that was yet to come wasn't even in her mind as she had slipped a pin into her mouth, then picked the locks on her restraints with relative ease. Obi-Wan's quip that she was quite on top of things was accurate; Padmé was prepared, despite their failure to save Obi-Wan.

Dooku assured the Nemodian viceroy that she would die as she, along with a projection of Obi-Wan and Anakin, dealt with the respective beasts that had been chosen for the blood sport. Then they were cornered off, only to be saved by a number of Jedi; lightsabers ignited around the arena, a blaze of colors as the plasma-blades ignited in a stand. A start of a war, but their temporary salvation in a situation that already meant the Republic was to be pulled into a war. Their numbers dwindled, they were surrounded by battledroids, and it seemed to be the final stand.

With that, Master Windu stood to the front of her, Anakin beside to her right and Master Kenobi on her left, preparing their lightsabers to deflect what bolts they could amidst the final bout. Master Windu refused to surrender, leading the droids to raise their arms to fire and -

Padmé glanced upward, calling out, "Look!"

The Grand Army of the Republic was about to make its first debut, though Padmé didn't yet know who this cavalry consisted of, nor did she know that there was one additional member that didn't necessarily belong.
