Ariadne had fallen asleep, curled up on her studio couch, her mood rather mixed. She had her own PASIV, but hadn't made use of it that night. Thus, after taking in the setting and seeing Eames come up to her, the dream of Paris and Andy tugged at the back of her mind. Sitting on the edge of the fountain, she had one hand in her pocket as she fiddled with her bishop. She was most certainly dreaming. Was the castle up to its tricks with shared dreams again?
She was distracted by Eames approaching, offering her one of her favorite beverages. Then, he said something she was rather sure he never would've said to her had it not been a dream. Her hand left her pocket, the totem not needed after such a confession. She, for the time being, left the topic of Arthur alone. It was something she didn't want to touch on and she and Eames had more than enough to discuss that was between them; just as she hadn't wanted to discuss Eames with Arthur, she didn't want to discuss Arthur with Eames. Given the exchanges, it was between her and the respective other person involved.
"That's some greeting." She smiled faintly and said a quiet, "Thank you," as she took the cup. She sipped at the beverage and mulled his words for a moment, a little surprised and sad at the same time. They weren't caused by the same things, but by a mixture of everything that had happened and was happening. "You know I thought you were shutting me down, expressing a desire to stop discussing the topic, when you said you were being stupid before... right? It wasn't that I didn't want to know. I'm your friend. I want to know, to be able to help."
"I - Eames, there's something you should know." She wanted to ask further questions, but she couldn't in all good conscience until he was aware of the shared dream state. Still, she paused and took another sip of her drink to attempt calming herself. She wasn't sure she was ready to deal with this, but there was no out short of collapsing the dream or shooting herself. "I'm not a projection. I think the castle is causing shared dreams again."
