Myka laughed at the same time Helena did. Her response had been cheeky but held a sense of seriousness within it. She had bared out her soul finally expressing her true feelings. If it all wound up being a game and her emotions toyed with than she'd never recover. He heart truly belonged to the Victorian woman sat before her and she hoped above all else that the same could be said of Helena's heart. Myka knew she'd never have the entirety of Helena's heart as a piece of it would always belong to Christina. When Helena's hand brushed against her cheek she pushed against it relishing in the soft touch.
A wide smile had stretched across her face at Helena's words. She would continue to be cheeky if it brought that laugh out from the Victorian woman's lips. Myka would do anything to bring Helena happiness and peace of mind. When Helena leaned in to kiss her again the smile that was stretched across her face disappeared. Her lips occupied with something more important. This time around Myka deepened the kiss getting lost in a haze due to the feel and taste of Helena's lips. Moments later she broke their kiss to take a breath of air. As she sat there the toll the emotional roller coaster they'd just overcome became apparent. Her body was fatigued entirely. Sitting back Myka said, "time for bed." When she said the words she'd meant them in the literal sense. It was late and they really should try to rest. As she shifted the side of her body that was soaked with Helena's tears the shirt pulled from where it had begun to stick. It was uncomfortable at best and the only option was to take it off. Without really thinking it through she slipped the shirt over her head before turning back to Helena.
