Helena Wells-Quinzel is H.G. Wells ([info]indelibleink) wrote in [info]makebelievelog,
"Someone from one of my novels could show up here?" Helena couldn't help but to grin a bit at that. How could she not? It fed into that rather inflated ego she carried around. It was one thing to have had those characters and ideas in her own head, but the possibility of meeting them in the flesh and having a discussion with them? Well, only Helena herself could actually find that to be both intrigued and ego-boosting. She did notice Claudia relax a bit, which made her wonder if she still made the younger woman nervous.

"No doubt it does not cover everything, otherwise that would be one continuous show." Though it was rather intriguing to think about. A television show and comic books. Not that Helena had much of an idea of what comic books were, but that was besides the point. She was still trying to catch up on the things she'd missed in the 20th Century. Though when Claudia hopped up on a counter, Helena looked over at her, a bit horrified at the lack of manners. "Claudia, you do know you are sitting on a surface meant for preparing food on, not sitting on." She gave the younger agent a slightly pointed look. She may have been resentful of some of her upbringing, but manners and etiquette were two things she'd always had and prized.

Checking the tea, she grabbed two cups, then started pouring the tea into them. However, at the mention of Artie using a time travel artifact, Helena paused in mid-pour. Well, more like froze. That was a subject she knew all too well, and if Artie used a time travel artifact, she knew of a few that could do that. She looked at Claudia, concern clear in her eyes. "Artie used a time travel artifact. To undo what happened to the Warehouse?" Now her voice was filled with complete worry. She'd done her homework on time travel artifacts. And she didn't like the implications of what the downside of any of those artifacts would be.
