"I may just do that. I do miss discussing scientific theories with other science-minded people." And really, Helena did. It was a part of her Victorian lifestyle that she greatly missed. All of her friends, long since dead. She missed talking with those who had a mind similar to hers. The longing for such a thing was more than evident in the expression on her face, but she quickly turned to tend to the tea.
"A television show?" She glanced at Claudia for a moment, then turned back to the tea, focusing on it for some moments in silence as she let herself digest this. It was difficult to digest that they were fictional here, especially for Helena who was a historical figure. Well all right, so it was her brother that was remembered as H. G. Wells, but Helena had been the brains for all of that. "So I am a fiction writer who is a fictional person in this world. That's a new one," she finally said after a minute of silence with a slight chuckle. She turned her attention back to Claudia, an eyebrow arched in interest. "So tell me, is this show accurate?"
Only H. G. Wells could have such a reaction to discovering she was fictional. But really, it wasn't that far of a stretch. She was a fiction writer and had thought up plenty of crazy ideas in her time. And after Claudia saying people were fictional here, it wasn't such a shock. Well, still a shock yes, but Helena wasn't averse to it. She was taking it in stride as only she could.
